Each grade plays a combination of two-day, 60 over limited over matches and one-day, 30 over limited overs matches. All matches are played on a Saturday afternoon, commencing at 1:15pm and finishing at 5:30pm.

Midweek T20 Competition

In 2025/26, the SSCA introduced a Thursday night, Twenty-20 competition, for those players looking for a shorter, more relaxed competition, played over a shorter 8-9 week season. Games were played under lights and modified rules were also introduced to add excitement and tactical elements to the game, including:

  • Nine players a-side
  • Five ball overs
  • Up to four players permitted outside the circle
  • Batting and bowling powerplays

The inaugural competitions were met with great enthusiasm, with a 6-team competition pre-Christmas and an 8-team competition post-Christmas. GBCC submitted a team to both the Spring and Summer competitions and will be looking to submit teams again across the 2026/27 Spring and Summer competitions.

All GBCC players are provided with coloured playing pants as well.
